G.E. Bartlett

Historical Fiction Author

I explore themes of brokenness and reconciliation in my writing, painting richly-drawn historical backgrounds for compelling characters. I love writing stories where complex people, intractable situations, and hope collide.

About

G.E. Bartlett's childhood was spent in the Caribbean, Hong Kong, Malta, and the United States. She moved to the UK to complete a doctorate in music history at the University of Oxford, where she specialised in British musical and social histories around the turn of the nineteenth century. In addition to her her fictional output, she has published a number of academic articles and book chapters with Oxford University Press, Taylor & Francis, and Edinburgh University Press.
